We remain dedicated to improving our facilities
for people with disabilities. However, due to the
irregular layout of some of the vessels, and the
limited space for wheelchair users, we would ask
you to contact us should your group have any
special requirements, in order for us to advise
you in the best possible way. |
| People with restricted mobility may need extra
time and help to board the boat. Wheelchairs are
manually lifted aboard, down two shallow steps. |
| Most boats have a front cabin with good visibility
for anyone unable to use the top deck. This area
can accommodate a small number of manual
wheelchairs. We regret that there are no facilities
for electric wheelchairs and larger scooters and
the toilets are not accessible to wheelchairs. |
| Windsor |
| While Windsor is good for access, with disabled
parking nearby, there is no dropping off beside the embarkation
point. |
| Runnymede |
| Access at Runnymede is such that less able passengers
do not have far to walk. The level landing stages provide access
with only a minimal step onto the boat, leading into the front
cabin which has good views for small numbers of wheelchair users. |
| As these are round trips, helpers and drivers can come along
to assist during the trips. Finally, the National Trust provide
disabled toilets behind the Magna Carta Tea Rooms. |
| Maidenhead |
| There are a number of steps to negotiate as well
as a narrow promenade, so customers should assess the suitability
carefully. |
| Hampton Court |
| There are a numner of steps to negotiate so customers
should assess the suitability carefully. |
